About Inés, RCIC-IRB
Inés Alonso de Vega (she/her) is YoEmigro’s Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC-IRB), in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). Her status can be verified directly on the College’s official website. Inés holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration, a Master’s degree in International Cooperation and Project Management, a Master’s degree in Women, Gender, and Citizenship Studies, and a Graduate Diploma in Canadian Immigration and Citizenship Law. She first arrived in Canada in 2012 and has since built a life in this country she is proud to call home. Her professional background and personal immigration experience inform a compassionate, informed, and rigorous approach to every case.
About the
College
The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (the College) is the regulatory body that licenses and oversees Canadian immigration and citizenship consultants in the publicinterest. Its mandate is to protect the public by:
Establishing and administering qualification standards, standards of practice, and continuing professional development requirements;
Developing and delivering training and professional development programs for licensees;
Ensuring compliance with the Code of Professional Conduct; and
Conducting public awareness and education activities.
The College’s role, statutory authority, and powers are set out in the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants Act, the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, and the Citizenship Act.
